The Quest for Fitness

The Quest for Fitness

I started out with my lifestyle change gangbusters. Went to the gym every day and did anything I had to for my diet. Ate stuff I never would have eaten before, ate at all times of the day and sometimes stayed hungry when I could have had a snack.

The results were awesome.  I went from a size 40 pants to a size 34 and a noticable reduction in body fat. I was zoomin.

Next thing you know, a few things happened, I stopped working out. Started eating junk again and back came the fat and goodbye went the strength. It sucked. Out came the big pants.

Now I’m in my second round and for whatever reason I can’t seem to get motivated. I want to get back to where I was, but the motivation is not all there.

I had a nice talk with a friend of mine I met on Bodybuilding.com named UHockey. He’s a great guy, bright and articulate. In his residency in Bowling Green. (Yeah, I know he’s a buckeye).

He is not the kind of guy to go around saying things just to be heard so when he talks, people usually listen. He reminded me the other night that the one thing missing from my workouts was just plain simple fun.

“Do what you like to do” he told me.

You know, he’s right. I’ve been looking for that magic pill or that magic workout routine that will get me great gains in a short period of time. Well it just doesn’t work like that.

So what to do about it?

Well I’m going to modify my stack a little to make more sense.

New Stack:
Lean Xtreme 2 (Cortisol Control – Non stim)
Adrenalean (Fat burner – Stim)
Protein (A must for muscle growth)
Multi Vitamin (Immune protection)
BCAA’s (Recovery & Protein Synth)
Antioxidants (General Health)
Bosweilla (Joint Support)
Fish Oil (Joint Support & Fatty Acids)
Maybe some creatine and maybe some NOS. But just the basics and only if my stomach can tolerate it.

As for diet, I am going to have fun. Some nights I might eat pizza. But I am going to look for ways to make the foods we normally eat healthier, such as sauting in wine, water or broth rather than in butter and just making healthier choices.

So, I’ve started my quest over several times unsuccessfully. This time. I’m just going to have some fun and see where it takes me.

I’ll be updating along the way so come back and check on my progress… Or don’t. ;-)

Peace,

G
